You are hereKaren Paris, RPA

Karen Paris, RPA is a registered Physician Assistant, who has been at the forefront of healthy lifestyle changes coupled with a solid nutritional foundation as the answer for many of the common chronic illnesses which affect over 150 million Americans.  Ms. Paris has been practicing and living this way for almost 30 years.

Her introduction to this breakthrough, long before it was fashionable, came when she worked alongside the late, pioneer in this field, Dr. Robert C. Atkins for 19 years at the Atkins Center for Complementary Medicine.

As a senior staff member, she worked closely with Dr. Atkins providing patient care, training medical staff in the field of what was then known as integrative medicine, and formulating treatment protocols based on nutritional supplementation coupled with drug therapy only if necessary.

Karen was also involved in the first-of-their-kind original low carbohydrate diet clinical research trials performed directly at the Atkins Center.  These were the first ever clinical trials proving the effectiveness of low carbohydrate dieting.  She was active in creating the research protocols and in ensuring their strict adherence.

Ms. Paris has lectured at numerous medical conferences, hospitals and on the Atkins Weight Loss Healthy Lifestyle Cruises on a variety of topics, including Living the Low Carbohydrate Lifestyle, reporting on the active ongoing Research trials, and Women’s Health Issues, including being one of the first in the nation to use bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

Karen’s many media appearances include both national and local radio and television on such shows as Your Health Choices, The Logical Alternative, and CBS Market Watch.  She would also contribute to the monthly newsletter published by Agora Publishing called, Dr. Atkins Health Revelations.  She has also worked as a consultant for an integrative medicine television production.

After the Atkins Center closed, Karen joined Dr. Pescatore, first at Partners in Integrative Medicine, which is now Medicine 369.  Patients benefit from her vast clinical experience in evaluating and treating allergies, auto-immune disorders, blood sugar and cardiovascular disorders,  chronic fatigue, Lyme disease,  thyroid, hormone and neurotransmitter imbalances, yeast, irritable bowel, gut disorders, and heavy metal toxicity in both adults and children. In addition, she has helped to develop Dr. Pescatore’s supplement line.

Karen has been a NAET practitioner since 2001.  NAET (Nambudripads Allergy Elimination Technique) is an innovative non-invasive allergy treatment for food, environmental and chemical allergies.  And is also a DAN! (Defeat Autism Now!)
Practitioner.
